Description
A 7-ounce bag of Woodland Scenics medium grade ballast in Buff - realistic granular scenery material calibrated for HO and larger scales where a slightly coarser stone texture reads correctly. Medium grain ballast closely matches the appearance of prototype crushed rock ballast beds used under railroad ties.
Apply with diluted white glue using the wet-water method: spray diluted water first, then apply thinned glue to wick beneath the ballast without disturbing it. Medium buff ballast simulates tan-to-cream crushed limestone - one of the most common aggregate materials used by prototype railroads in the Midwest and South.
Suitable for track ballasting, wagon loads, coal or gravel detail, road shoulders, and industrial site groundwork. The non-magnetic material blends easily with other ballast colors for a realistic mixed-stone effect.
