Lump coal provides larger-sized coal pieces that simulate the premium hand-selected coal used in commercial heating and industrial furnaces during the steam era. The chunkier, irregular pieces are distinctly different from the finer mine run grade, and both can be combined for a realistic, multi-grade coal storage or loading scene.
The 9 cubic inch package is sufficient for filling several cars, building a substantial coal pile, or detailing a coal-handling facility. Non-magnetic material applies easily with diluted white glue or scenic cement for a permanent result.
Lump coal is particularly appropriate for coal dealer yards, domestic fuel depots, industrial plant fuel storage, and scenarios depicting premium-grade coal delivery. It pairs naturally with Mine Run Coal for a realistic multi-grade coal operation.
