Description
A large 30-ounce shaker bottle of Woodland Scenics Gray Blend ballast in fine grain - a pre-mixed assortment of gray tones that simulates the naturally varied appearance of real trackside ballast, which is never perfectly uniform in color. The blend combines light gray, medium gray, and darker gray granules for an immediately realistic mixed-stone effect.
Unlike single-color ballast, the Gray Blend requires no custom mixing to achieve realistic results - the color variation is built into every bottle. The fine grain size suits N, Z, and HO scale. Apply with the wet-water diluted white glue method.
The Gray Blend is particularly effective for main line trackwork, yard leads, and industrial sidings where a well-worn, multi-toned ballast bed is most prototypically accurate. Pair with gray Cinders ballast at yard entrances and older trackwork areas.
