A 7-ounce bag of Woodland Scenics coarse grade ballast in Dark Brown - larger-grain granular material suited for O, S, and large HO scale trackwork where bigger stone chunks look appropriate. Coarse ballast provides bold, visible texture and is also popular for filling hoppers and gondolas, creating gravel aggregate piles, simulating quarry waste, or adding chunky texture to industrial groundwork. Dark brown coarse ballast evokes weathered, rain-soaked stone on heavily shaded or older trackwork, and works well for filling hoppers and gravel bins with dark aggregate. Apply using the wet-water and diluted glue method for secure, scale-accurate results. Non-magnetic and blend-compatible with other Woodland Scenics ballast colors.
